Terms of use
Last updated October 29, 2026. By using FileSwiftly you agree to these terms.
The service
FileSwiftly provides free tools for working with PDF files. The tools run in your web browser; we do not receive, store or have access to the documents you process.
Your documents and your responsibility
You are responsible for having the right to process the documents you open with FileSwiftly. Do not use Unlock PDF on files you are not entitled to decrypt, and do not use FileSwiftly to forge signatures or alter documents with the intent to deceive. Keep a copy of your original files — especially before compressing or protecting them, and never lose track of a password you set, because it cannot be recovered.
No warranty
The tools are provided “as is”. We test them carefully, but PDF files vary enormously and we cannot guarantee that every file will be processed perfectly. Always check the result before relying on it, for example before filing a document with a court or agency.
Limitation of liability
To the extent permitted by law, FileSwiftly and its operators are not liable for any indirect or consequential damages, data loss or business interruption arising from the use of the tools. Our total liability for any claim is limited to US$50.
Open-source software
FileSwiftly includes open-source components, including PDF.js (Apache License 2.0), pdf-lib (MIT License), QPDF (Apache License 2.0) and fflate (MIT License). Their licenses apply to those components.
Trademarks
FileSwiftly is not affiliated with Adobe Inc. or any other software vendor. Product names mentioned on this site belong to their respective owners.
